Mommy's Purchases

Playing with the neighborhood kids in the new bounce house. Every ball ended up outside of the tent...
hence...maybe a lakehouse toy in the near future :)
So I decided to venture out to our community garage sale today...probably will not happen again. People take garage sale shopping too seriously. I almost was ran over several times and backed into several more different times. I will have to admit I liked looking at things that people were trying to sell. I think next time, if there is a next time...I will head out with a friend. I did purchase a bounce house for Cole - perfect for his age, maybe up to about three years old for $50 (regularly $200) and a little ball pit that might become a toy for grandma's house :)

Drivin' Through

Feeding a giraffe...big smile the entire time. My dad opened the sun roof for this guy to come on in.
Waiting his turn.
Seriously...come on in!
Watching the deer by the car.
One of his many attempts to escape.
Driving with PaPa.
Today we took Cole to a drive through zoo near my parents' house. It is called Fossil Rim - we drive by it every single time we go to and from the lake and have always wanted to stop. The animals were everywhere even though it was over ninety degrees. Cole loved watching the animals and even started saying, "Deer" and "Zebra" by the end of the day. Well worth the money for sure! He loved it and I loved being part of another first for Cole. I don't know many 16 month olds that have fed a giraffe from their car :)

Big Brother Cole

We started (well mainly me) telling our friends and family the GREAT news...so here it is -
Cole is going to be a big brother sometime in late April. We are working on the word baby. I point to my tummy and then say, "Baby". He says, "BeBe" over and over and even pointed to his own tummy yesterday. We will keep working on that over the next few months.
We heard the strong, little heartbeat last week and things seem to be going great. I have felt nauseous, so everyone thinks it is a girl...It doesn't matter to me - healthy and happy works for the Walker Family. Very excited, very nervous, very tired...lots of positive thoughts and prayers for the newest Walker Baby.

Fish Fry

Not exactly sure how to make it go... Sweet Emma (and Taylor)!
Cole helping me put on my lip gloss.
Eating in the shady area of the cul-de-sac.
Taking the train for a spin.
Cole and Vincent raking the driveway???
My sweet, big, big boy!
Tim and Tricia...official fish fryers!
The fun is about to begin!
So we don't live in a "normal" neighborhood...we actually hang-out quite often in the cul-de-sac...we eat, drink, eat some more, drink a lot more, and watch the kids (and often adults) play.
It is a fun way to live! Tonight the Moore's organized a Fish Fry...everything was yummy and the night ended with the Kona Ice Truck making a stop - courtesy of Robert's phone :)

I'm A Big Boy Now!!!

We have been trying to put away the highchair and let Cole use the little table we bought for eating (and doing other things like art, puzzles, etc). I have decided containment is not really a bad idea. He now tends to wander around. I have found blueberries squished between my toes because he runs to his toys or the TV in between bites. Oh well, practice makes perfect. It is super funny to look over at him sitting at his table...then, and only then...he seems so small!

Goodbye Neighbors

Our first family is leaving the cul-de-sac - Frank and Linda are moving next week. I am glad they will be closer to their 3 daughters and their grandbabies, but they will be missed. We had a little goodbye brunch for them on Saturday morning. We had it inside at the Johansson's - gosh I didn't realize how many kids we all had because we are usually outside :)
Goodbye for now Frank and Linda! We will miss you both!!!

Run, Run As Fast As You Can...

Slide, slide, slippity slide. Super happy boy.
Tongue out of course!
I am suppose to be in circle time right now.
Bubbles or "balls" as Cole likes to say.
Sitting in his "highchair"...Bring on the carrots, bring on the peas!
Under The Big Parachute!!!
Cole had his first "real" Gymboree class today. We have been to two birthday parties and a trial class, but today was the real deal. Dan was my personal camera man today and he finally understood why I said, "We MUST enroll him in these classes, he loves them."
