Cole's First Haircut

All smiles before we got started.
He was yelling, "No, no, no..."
Mommy Please Help Me!!!
Nothing a lollipop...or "pop" as Cole would say to make it all better!
So Cole's hair has been out of control for a while now, but I just kept putting off getting a haircut. When he woke up from his nap, sweaty and full of curls...I knew it was time. He did NOT like getting his curls cut...not even a bit.

Paging Doctor Cole...

I bought Cole a little doctor's kit so we could play with it over the next week or so before I checked into the hospital. He doctored me up, but I guess I wasn't good enough, so he moved onto his next "victim".
He spent 20 minutes trying out the Mamaroo...he kept trying to get into it, so I told him to go get Elmo and let him rock...then he got his doctor kit...Poor Elmo (poor Blake :)
He kept giving Elmo shots in the eyeballs.
Checking his vitals...
We found Elmo like this...with the Doctor's pager stuffed in his mouth...oh how I am going to have to truly have eyes on the back of my head :)

Bring On The Warm (not too warm) Weather!

Dan was giving the dogs a bath outside and Cole wanted to see what he was doing...so this is what I found when I came into the kitchen...I pulled the blinds back so he wouldn't ruin them, but this was his idea (after he realized the doggie door was locked).
We spent many hours outside on Saturday - we set up the bounce house, the water table, and a little pool. Our front yard looked like a toddler's dream (a home owner's nightmare). Lots and lots of fun!!!

And Now We Are Ready...well sort of...

I just love her strong name! Cole's morning play area.
A comfy chair that we will spend a lot of time in...we finally received it yesterday!
Amazing what a couple cans of spray paint will do to a bunch of mismatched things!
I don't think she has enough clothes yet???
Drawers full of clothes and blankets too!
I was able to reuse one of my favorite pieces (from the former guest room) in her room.
We have the final pieces in her room and it is ready to go. Dan laughs because she will not even sleep in there for a while, but still...one less thing on my Honey Do List.
Blakelee Marie...give Mommy two more weeks and then make your debut...

A Pink, Pink, Pink Sprinkle

My wonderful office staff...and me - the tall, puffy, swollen girl in the back :0 Probably the cutest thing ever...so tiny! The start of all of her pink things! Super cute, even more yummy cake!
My wonderful office staff hosted a Baby Sprinkle for Blake today. She received so many cute outfits, hair bows, diapers, and wipes. I just unpacked everything so Dan can see all of her sweet things when he comes home tonight. I think he is starting to be OK with all of the pink :)
There was a quote on one of her new little outfits (from my first grade team) that said, "I hope that my little girl is a better version of me." A perfectly perfect statement in my opinion.
I love that I spend most of my day with such wonderful, caring people. I am blessed beyond measure!

Daddy's Helper

This is what I walked outside to find tonight. Cole helped fix the leak by throwing his snack in the water...
and then fishing them out with the shovel.
Cole is VERY much into helping his Daddy when he gets out his tools. Last night he took his play screwdrivers and "helped" take apart the baby bed. Tonight he decided to help him with a leaky sprinkler head. Such a boy...such a Daddy's boy!!!

Maggie's 2nd Birthday Party

If you look closely, he has a dirt soul patch from face planting a few minutes before. Happy Birthday Maggie!
Singing (or drinking) Happy Birthday!
Mmmmmm....cake!
Bouncy House and slide of course!
The season of SPRING birthday parties has arrived - we went to our first of many today. Maggie, our friends Seth and Renee's daughter, turns two this week, so we celebrated with them this afternoon. Lots of fun for sure!
